To Make Marinate

Chicken – 1 Kg
Juice Of 1/2 Lemon
Salt – 1 Tsp (Buy:​)
Chilli Powder – 2 Tsp (Buy:​)
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:​)
Curd – 2 Tbsp

To Make Masala Paste

Oil – 1 Tbsp (Buy:​)
Peanut – 1 Tbsp
Few Cashew Nuts (Buy:​)
Dry Coconut – 1 Tbsp Chopped
Sesame Seeds – 1 Tsp (BUY:​)
Poppy Seeds – 1 Tsp ( Optional ) (Buy:​)
Onion – 2 Nos Sliced
Tomato – 3 Nos

To Make Hyderabadi Chicken Korma

Oil – 2 Tbsp (Buy:​)
Whole Spices
(Bay Leaf, Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom)
Cumin Seeds – 1 Tsp (Buy:​)
Salt – 1 Tsp (Buy:​)
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:​)
Chilli Powder – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:​)
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp (Buy:​)
Cumin Powder – 1 Tsp (Buy:​)
Water – 1 Cup
Garam Masala – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:​)
Chopped Coriander Leaves


1. Take chicken in a large bowl and add lemon juice, salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, curd and mix everything well.
2. Marinate the chicken for 1 hour.
3. To a pan, add oil and add peanuts. Roast them a little and then add cashewnuts and dry coconut. Roast again.
4. Then add sesame seeds, poppy seeds.
5. Roast them too for a while and turn off the stove.
6. To a pan, add oil and then add onions to it. Fry them until they are golden brown in colour.
7. Turn off the stove and cool the onions.
8. To a mixer jar, add the fried onions and roasted ingredients, Add a little water and grind them to a nice paste.
9. To a separate mixer jar, add tomatoes and grind to fine puree.
10. To another kadai, add oil, whole spices, cumin seeds, ground masala paste, tomato puree and mix well.
11. To this, add salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and mix all together.
12. Next add marinated chicken pieces and mix.
13. Keep a lid on the kadai and cook the masala on medium flame for 10 mins.
14. After 10 mins, add water, mix everything. Close the lid again and cook for another 15 mins.
15. Lastly add garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.
16. Yummy Hyderabadi Chicken Korma is ready to be served.
