This Beef Stew recipe is easy to make and tastes great. You can do the complete beef Stew on your stove top in a single pot or Start on the stove and finish your beef stew in a slow cooker or crock pot. Beef Stew freezes well and is great for a cold winter day.

Beef Stew Recipe
2-3 Lbs Beef (cut to about 1 inch squares)
5-6 small to medium potatoes (cut to the size of your beef squares)
3-4 Carrots (cut to the size of your beef squares)
3-4 Cellery stalks (cut to the size of your beef squares)
1 large onion (cut to the size of your beef squares) OR a bag of frozen pearl onions will work.

Oil for browning the beef and vegetables.
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried or fresh thyme
2-3 Bay Leaves
2-3 Cloves Garlic rough chopped
about 2 cups red wine
about 1 can of beef broth
3-4 Tablespoons All purpose flour (to coat the beef).
Salt and Pepper to taste.

Coat the beef with flower and sear in the pot in two batches.
Remove the beef and add the vegetables to the reserved drippings Cook for a few minutes till they just begin to soften.
return the beef to the pot and add the remaining ingredients (and liquids just enough to cover) listed above. Scrape loose any ingredients that have stuck to the pan.
Return to a boil then reduce heat to low. Simmer for two – two and a half hours stirring occasionally.
Add 1 lb of frozen peas and season to taste. When the peas are cooked to your liking, add parsley and serve. Enjoy your beef stew! There is a shopping list for everything bellow. Remember to wait till the end with the peas and parsley. Thanks for watching.
