Recipes:

Vodka Blush
2½ oz vodka (appropriately, I’m using the fabulous Death’s Door Vodka, which is perfect for all sorts of Halloween concoctions)
¾ oz fresh lime juice
A dash of grenadine
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. For maximum movie authenticity, garnish with a cherry.

Mousse au Chocolat (from 1961’s New York Times Cook Book)
2 eggs separated, with whites beaten to stiff peaks and beat the whites until they’re stiff
Semi sweet chocolate pieces
2½ TBSP boiling water
1 TBSP dark rum
Blend chocolate for 6 seconds in a blender. Add boiling water and blend for another 10 seconds. Next, add the egg yolks dark rum and blend for 3 seconds or until smooth. Fold into egg whites, spoon into serving dishes and refrigerate for one hour before serving.

Cocktails, party bites, road trips to fabulous bars and the occasional boozy music video! New episodes every Tuesday and Friday! #cocktail #recipe #delicious #howto #retro #alcohol #liquor #bartending
