Gullac Recipe – Turkish Ramadan Dessert


Turkish Gullac Recipe: Start by transferring your milk into a large pot on medium heat Add sugar Cook for 10 minutes, turn the heat off before boils Let it cool down before you use Add rose water Dip each leaf in this milk mixture And transfer in another tray, folding in half Mix ground hazelnuts, powdered sugar and shredded coconut Place other half of your gullac leaves on this mixture Pour rest of the milk on gullac Let it completely cool down before you keep in in fridge for around 2 or 3 hours

1 pack (400 g, 0.8 lbs) gullac filos
1.5 lt (6 ½ cups) milk
2 cups sugar
4 tbs rose water
For the filling,
100 g (3.5 oz) ground hazelnuts
2 tbs sheredded cococut
2 tbs powdered sugar
