Korma is a delicious gravy usually made with onions, spices, nuts, yogurt, or meat.
There are so many ways a korma is made, most of them are adapted to the regional cuisines.
Chicken – 250gm
Oil – 1 Tbsp
Whole Garam Masala
Black Pepper – 5,
Cinnamon – 5 ,
Cloves – 5,
Bay leaves -1,
Green Cardamom – 5
Salt: To Taste
Onion – brown onion (Sliced)
Red Chili Powder – 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 Tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp
Yogurt – 1/2 Cup
Water – 1 glass
Garam Masala Powder – 1 Tsp
Almonds and Cashews- 10
Fry onions and keep them aside.
Now add chicken in a pot along with ginger garlic and all the above mentioned spices.
Blend the onions with yogurt ,Nuts and make a smooth paste.
Let the chicken cook with all the spices for 10-15 mins.
Now add the onion n yogurt mixture and cook until all the oil gets separate.
Then cook chicken on medium heat. Add ½ cup water and cover the lid for 20minutes.
Mix well and cook for few more minutes until a layer of oil separates at the top.
Serve hot with naan or Chapati.
