Ingredients

Banana – 4 Nos
Jaggery – 150 Gms
Water – 1/4 Cup
Ghee
Cashew Nuts
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 Tsp

Method:

1. Peel off the skin and cut the bananas into small pieces.
2. Put them in a mixer jar and grind into a fine paste.
3. To a saucepan, add water and jaggery. Let it melt completely and turn off the stove.
4. Add ghee and cashewnuts to a wide saucepan and roast them.
5. Transfer the roasted cashewnuts to a bowl and add more ghee to the pan.
6. Now add the banana paste to the pan, cook it with ghee for 10 mins on medium flame.
7. To the thickened banana paste, add ghee and strained jaggery syrup. Mix and cook for 15 mins on low flame.
8. Next add cardamom powder and ghee. Mix and cook for 5 mins on low flame.
9. Add the roasted cashewnuts and cook for another 5 mins on low flame.
10. Grease the insides of a tin with ghee and transfer the banana halwa into it.
11. Spread it evenly and let it rest for a minimum of 30 mins.
12. After the halwa is set, remove it from the tin, cut it into pieces, garnish with a roasted cashew on the top.
13. Banana Halwa is ready to be served.
