Country Chicken Biryani Recipe | நாட்டுக்கோழி பிரியாணி | Chicken Biryani Recipe | Nattukozhi Biryani


INGREDIENTS: Country Chicken - 1/2 kg Basmati Rice - 500 g Coconut Milk - 1 Cup Curd - 200 g Ghee - 2 Tbsp Bay Leaf - 2 Nos Cardamom - 3 Nos Star Anise - 1 Nos Nutmeg - 1 small piece Cinnamon - 1 Nos Black Stone Flower - 1 Nos Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp Garam Masala Powder - 1 Tbsp Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp Onion (big) - 2 Nos Tomato - 2 Nos Green Chilli - 3 Nos Lemon - 1/2 Nos Coriander Leaves, Mint Leaves, Salt, Water and Oil are as required. PROCEDURE: 1) In a bowl, add the country chicken, curd, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, required salt and mix them well. 2) Let it marinate for about 1 hour by closing it with a lid. 3) In a pressure cooker, add the ghee, required oil, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, bay leaf, star anise, black stone flower, onion, green chillis, coriander leaves, mint leaves and saute them till it reaches the golden brown color. 4) Now add the tomato, coriander powder, marinated chicken and pressure cook them for about 3 to 4 whistles. 5) Add the soaked basmati rice, coconut milk, lemon juice, required water, required salt and pressure cook them for about 2 whistles.
