Season to taste. Cook until the meat is fully browned and the vegetables are soft. Drain any excess grease if needed, but leave just enough to cook the flour. Add in the garlic and bay leaf cook for about 30 seconds. Sprinkle the 2 tablespoons of flour directly over the cooked meat and vegetables. Stir everything well and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. This cooks out the raw flour taste and helps create a smooth gravy later. Slowly pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, Add the chopped potatoes. Season to taste. stirring constantly to scrape up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan and incorporate the flour. Cover the skillet with a lid and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender and the gravy has thickened. Coming periodically to give everything a mix.
