The Best PAN DE MUERTO Recipe | Super Soft Day of the Dead Sweet Bread

Hello my beautiful fam!! Welcome back to my kitchen first of all I want to thank you for being part of our family, and allowing me to be part of yours!!!! ❤️ Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to make the best pan de muerto ( day of the dead bread) this is a very traditional sweet bread pan baked in Mexico during the weeks leading up to the Día de Muertos, which is celebrated from November 1st to November 2nd. But this bread is soooo delicious that seriously you can enjoy anytime you want a piece of sweet bread! Here in Arizona I have not found a good spot to find some delicious fluffy and moist pan, so homemade is better this is the way my grandma used to make I only adjusted by using orange extract traditionally she would use agua de azahar (orange blossom water) you can use either one😊 the hardest part about this recipe is the waiting time 😅 other than that this recipe is super easy you can use a stand mixer to help with the kneading process but one thing i learned through the years of baking is that through kneading you get to feel the dough which makes it easy to tell when it’s ready to sit. (Another thing I learned is that kneading by hand the bread comes out even fluffier) Every time I make bread it takes a total of 20 minutes to incorporate all the ingredients together and have the perfect dough! Just make sure you knead really good!!!! keep in mind like every recipe and every household, and there are tons of variations that make this delicious recipe, you can constantly adjust it to your taste; I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I do, and as always, if you do, please forget to give me a big thumbs up, comment down below your thoughts and if you new to my channel, please hit that subscribe button so you can be part of our family!!!!!! 😘 Tip: be ready to wait for at least 4.hours Baking time is between 15-20 minutes (350F)depending on oven Make sure you cut 20 small pieces of dough which would be used for the top! ‼️‼️‼️For any other recipe just type in Claudia Regalado, followed by the recipe name you trying to find, if I already made it it should appear as the first videos ☺️ if not, request it in the comments 😘 It’s a must to enjoy a piece of pan de muerto con un vaso de champurrado 👉🏽 https://youtu.be/ldpSzlI3Gqs Ingredients: 4 cups flour 1 cup evaporated milk 3/4 cup sugar plus 1 tbsp 1 tbsp active dry yeast 3 eggs 1 yolk at room temperature 3/4 cup salted butter at room temperature 12 tbsp 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp orange zest (zest of 1 orange) 1 tbsp orange extract or orange blossom water 1/4 tsp salt Topping: Sugar I like to use sanding sugar 4 tbsp Butter room temp 1 egg- pinch of salt and sugar-1 tbsp water 1 serving of love 💕 Want to see more of me and my family?
