I follow intermittent fasting of 18:6 or 16:8 window. I fast for 18hrs and eat in the 6hrs. Mostly my 1st meal is tiffin, cheela or idli, upma, dosa, sandwich nothing out of the box... What I make for kids I take the same. At 3 I take a fruit or mix of dry fruits and at 5pm I have my last meal. I skip rice as I love rotis.. I have 2 phulkas along with whichever items I make for my family like curry dal rasam chutney whatever is in the meal that day.. today I had sprouts Cheela for breakfast and for lunch I had phulkas with beans poriyal.. for dal I made plain dal which I dont like so I skipped it...
Sprouts Cheela
Grind overnight soaked whole moong dal along with salt, ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves into a smooth paste. You can also add palak or any other greens to this mixture.
To this mixture add 2tbsn suji and 2tbsn curd. Mix it well and let it sit for 5 to 10mins.
Now add fine chopped onions, green peas, sweet corn and add water to adjust the consistency.. Now cook on hot tawa as cheelas from both the sides along with green chutney.
Beans Poriyal
Steam fine chopped beans and moong dal until they become soft.
Grind 1inch ginger, 2 to 3 green chillies and half coconut together.
In a kadai add oil urad dal mustard seeds jeera dry red chillies hing and curry leaves. Then add the steamed beans and moong mixture and mix well. Add salt and haldi and cook for 2mins. Then add the coconut mixture and cook until the raw smell disppears. Garnish with coriander leaves and that's it... Enjoy with rice or roti or just like that.
