Valentines Day Cake RECIPE
Ingredients:
3 cups of all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 ts salt
1/2 cup room temperature unsalted butter
2 cups of sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 large eggs (egg-whites separate from egg-yolks)
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp white vinegar
1 cup buttermilk
Vanilla Ice-cream
(for white chocolate frosting)
1/4 cup heavy cream (warm)
1 cup white chocolate chips
(for whipped cream frosting)
Whip 2 cups of heavy cream
1 cup confectioners sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat oven 375 F
In a large bowl mix dry ingredients, in a separate bowl whisk butter, sugar, oil, egg yolks, vinegar, vanilla extract. Slowly add the dry ingredients alternating with the buttermilk and finally whisk the egg-whites and add to mixture.
Grease your pans, pour the batter and bake for 30-35min or until no longer wet on the inside.
Decorate as desired!! enjoy!!
