Usually Roland will stir fry the chicken and then semi braise it to make the dish more flavourful but you can also use this quick and easy method to make Steamed Sesame Oil Chicken. This dish is good with steamed rice or plain rice porridge. Happy cooking!

Steamed Sesame Oil Chicken 香蒸麻油鸡
Serves 3 – 4 pax
Marinated chicken
520g fresh chicken wings (cut into halves)
1 stalk of spring onion (use the stem part first)
1 thumb-sized young ginger (julienned)
2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
1 tablespoon of premium dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon of Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing Huatiao wine)
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of cornflour
2 tablespoons of sesame oil

Other ingredients
Some goji berries (aka wolfberries)
