Here the method of preparation of the Beef Potato Stew or the Veal Potato Stew is given
Ingredients
250 gms of Veal or Beef pieces
1 Potato Peeled and cut into pieces
2 Tomatoes cut into pieces
2 Big onions cut into pieces
15 shallots cut into pieces
3 Green chillies
25 gms of ginger cut nto pieces
25 gms of garlic cut into pieces
1 Spoon of Fenugreek leaf pieces
2 pieces of mace
2 Pieces of Cinnamon sticks
3 pods of cardamom
1 Spoon of Coriander powder
1 Spoon of fennel powder
1 Spoon of chili flakes
Half a spoon of Fenugreek powder
Half a spoon of pepper powder
A quarter spoon of turmeric powder
Salt to taste
10 ml of oil
500 ml of water
Preparation
Heat the pan and pour in 10 ml of oil. Put in the cardamom, mace and cinnamon and saute till the scent of the spices come from the pan.Put in the onions and saute till golden brown. Add the shallots, garlic,ginger and saute well. Add the green chillies and saute. Add the potato pieces and the tomato pieces and saute . Put in the turmeric powder,coriander powder, pepper powder, fennel powder and fenugreek powder and saute well. Add the veal or beef pieces and saute thoroughly. Add salt to taste and saute. Add 500 ml of water and mix all the ingredients. Cook for 45 minutes to one hour and take off the flame and serve(in case of pressure cooker 15 minutes is enough).
