Spicy Chicken Cake Recipe - Irani Pola Recipe Irani pola is a special dish prepared during Ramadan in Malabar region.A spicy cake with a flavorful and juicy layer of chicken masala in between a soft and fluffy cake .So here is the simple recipe for you all ti try.... All you need oil 2 tbsp cumin 1 tsp chopped onion 1 chopped green chilli 5 ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp chopped tomato 1 chicken cut into strips 250 gm coriander powder 1 tsp chilli powder 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 1/2 tsp salt curry leaves coriander leaves For making batter bread slices 10 to 12 eggs 2 salt milk 500 ml Method FOR FILLINGS Heat oil, temper cumin, add onion and green chilli. Add ginger garlic paste and saute well. Add salt, tomato and saute well. Add all spice powders and chicken. Cover and cook chicken. Fry chicken till all water evaporates. add coriander leaves and remove pan from fire. In a blender , blend eggs, milk and bread, till it become idli batter consistency. Keep a tawa in fire. On top of tawa keep a pan, brush pan with oil. Pour half of the batter to pan. Cover and cook in low flame till it is done. Spread chicken filling over cooked batter. Spread remaining batter over chicken. Cover and cook again. Garnish on top of pola with curry leaves and tomato slices. When it is cooked well, flip other side and cook.
