Deliciously rich, this spicy Chettinad chicken gravy recipe will leave everyone wanting some more. Pairs well with plain rice, roti or chapatti, tortillas, crepes/dosas.
Ingredients:
For Masala Paste:
3 Tbsp – Ghee / Clarified butter
1 tsp – Mustard seeds
5-6 – Asafoetida (hing) crystals
1/2 tsp - Urad dal / black gram
2 tsp - Pepper corns
3 – Dry red chilli (long)
8-10 – Curry leaves
20 – Cashews
For Chicken_Gravy:
1 – Onion chopped
1 – Tomato chopped
8-10 - Curry leaves
1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
1 - Green Chilli
1.5 tsp - Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp - Coriander powder
1 tsp - Garam masala powder
1/2 kg – Chicken cubes (boneless)
1 tsp - Salt (can add more or less to taste)
1 cup - Water
