Simple Chicken Curry Recipe | Quick & Easy Chicken Curry Recipe | Chicken Curry Recipe for Beginners | Chicken Curry Recipe for Bachelors | Chicken Gravy | Indian Chicken Curry Recipe

Ingredients:

– Chicken, curry cut- 600 gms
– Onions, fine chopped- 2 medium
– Ginger garlic paste- 3 tsp
– Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp
– Green cardamom- 4
– Cloves- 4
– Cinnamon- 2 sticks

For marination:
– Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
– Red Chilli Powder- 2 tsp
– Coriander powder- 2 tsp
– Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp
– Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
– Whisked curd- 200 gm
– Salt- to taste

Oil- 3 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp or to taste

Preparation:

– Marinate the chicken pieces with the items indicated above. Mix & set aside for an hour.
– Chop the onions.

Process:

– Heat oil in a kadhai & add the whole garam masala (cloves, cardamom & cinnamon). Once it splutters, add the chopped onions.
– Fry on high to medium for around 10 mins till onions turn light brown.
– Add the ginger-garlic paste & fry for around 2 mins till raw smell is gone.
– Now add the marinated chicken & fry on high to medium for around 15 mins.
– Add 1/2 cup of water.
– Mix, cover & cook on low for 10-15 mins till chicken is tender.
– Serve hot with roti or rice.
