Recipe: Smoothie Bowls


Switch up your morning routine with this Instagram-worthy breakfast smoothie. Get the recipe for this nutrient-packed and vibrantly-coloured green smoothie here: http://bit.ly/1LU5c3I Green Mango Smoothie Bowl Recipe: 1 ¼ cups frozen Compliments Mango Mania or other frozen fruit, divided 1 cup roughly chopped kale leaves, stems removed 1 cup Compliments Organic Baby Spinach 1 cup apple juice 2 ripe bananas, peeled and divided ½ ripe avocado, peeled, halved and pit removed 2 tsp grated fresh ginger ¼ cup blueberries 2 tbsp natural sliced almonds, toasted 2 tbsp chia seeds Directions In a blender add 1 cup (250 mL) frozen mango, kale, spinach, apple juice, 1 banana, avocado and ginger. Top with 1 cup (250 mL) cold water. Blend for 1 to 2 min on high speed or until smooth and creamy. Meanwhile, slice remaining banana. Place remaining mango under cold, running water until softened. Chop into smaller pieces. Pour smoothie into 4 bowls. Top evenly with banana slices, mango, blueberries, almonds and chia seeds.
