Let's make MATCHA BOBA in celebration of #NationalMatchaDay! 🍵🧋
National Matcha Day is coming up on May 2nd and I wanted to share an easy and delicious recipe with you all using my fav, Jade Leaf Matcha! Their matcha is directly sourced from local Japanese family-owned farms, so you know it's high quality at a fair price. From now until May 6th, you can get 30% off EVERYTHING with my code MEIMEINMD30 on https://www.jadeleafmatcha.com/collections/shop-all! #JadeLeafPartner
✨ RECIPE ✨
1. Add 1 tsp Jade Leaf Matcha, 1 tbsp sugar and 1/3 cup warm water and whisk together well.
2. In a bowl, add the mixture as well as 1 tbsp tapioca starch and mix.
3. Microwave for 1 min. Then let cool for 2-3 min.
4. Add 1/2 cup tapioca starch and mix it into the dough. I use a spoon while the dough is still hot, but once it's cool enough to touch, I use my hands.
5. Gradually knead in another ~1/2 cup tapioca starch until the dough is smooth and not too sticky to the touch.
6. Shape dough into little boba balls. Be careful not to make them too big, or they won't go up the straw.
7. Boil for 20 minutes, strain out the water and rince in warm water to wash off the excess starch.
8. Soak in sweetener -- I used normal sugar but you can use honey, maple syrup, etc.
9. Add to your drink of choice and enjoy! I made a fresh strawberry cream with milk, as a twist on the classic matcha strawberry latte 🍵🍓
