Chicken Tawa Fry presented here uses less oil and can be prepared in 20 minutes. It is loaded with flavors, is spicy and delicious. This is a very easy recipe and can be prepared by beginners as well. Since this is a dry curry recipe, it goes well as a snack too but make sure to use spice accordingly.
Ingredients:
1 lb of chicken
1 Tbsp of minced ginger
1 Tbsp of minced garlic
3 finely chopped green chilli
1/2 tsp of cumin seeds powder
1/2 tsp of fennel seeds powder
1 Tbsp of red chilli powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp of coriander powder
1/2 tsp of garam masala
1/2 tsp of pepper
1 Tbsp of yogurt
A few coriander leaves
A few mint leaves
Procedure:
- Add 2 Tbsp of oil to a pan on medium flame
- Add 1 Tbsp of minced ginger
- Add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic
- Add 4 finely chopped green chilli
- Saute for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Add 1 lb of chicken (We used boneless chicken but you can use either)
- Add salt to taste
- Mix
- Cover with lid and cook on medium flame for 10 minutes
- Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
- Add 1 Tbsp of red chilli powder
- Add 1/2 tsp of cumin powder
- Add 1 tsp of fennel seeds powder
- Add 1/2 tsp of pepper powder
- Add 1 tsp of coriander powder
- Add 1/2 tsp of garam masala
- Mix
- Add 1 Tbsp of yogurt (Can be replaced with one small tomato)
- Cook for 10 minutes
- Tawa Chicken Fry is ready
