Assalamualaikum everyone!
Today I am sharing a very delicious Indian Style Kunafa also known as Nawabi Sevai. This dessert is creamy from inside and slightly crunchy from the sevai layer, which makes it taste very similar to Middle Eastern Kunafa but with a beautiful Indian twist.
This dessert is perfect for Eid, Ramadan iftar, dinner parties, or when guests come home. The best part is that it is made with simple ingredients like sevai, milk, cream cheese and dry fruits, yet the taste is absolutely amazing.
Once you serve this dessert to your family or guests, they will definitely ask you to make it again!
Tip:
Make this dessert on the same day you plan to serve it so the sevai stays crunchy.

Ingredients for Indian Style Kunafa / Nawabi Sevai
For Sevai Layer
200–225 g Thin Vermicelli (Banarasi Sevai)
3–4 tbsp Desi Ghee
1/3 cup (5 tbsp) Powdered Sugar
4–5 tbsp Milk Powder
For Milk Cream Mixture
2 cups Full Cream Milk ( 500 ml )
3 tbsp Cornflour (or Custard Powder)
1/2 cup Milk (to mix with cornflour)125 ml
1/4 cup (4 tbsp) Sugar
1/4 cup Milk Powder
2–3 tbsp Cream Cheese
(or cheese slice / cheese cube)
1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
(or Cardamom Powder / Kewra Water)
For Garnish
Pistachios (Pista)
Almonds (Badam)
Dried Rose Petals (optional)
