Indulge in the sinfulness of the Dark Chocolate Sponge cake. Watch this video and learn how to make this mouth-watering dessert DARK CHOCOLATE SPONGE Ingredients 1 cup refined four (mida) 1 teaspoon baking powder ¼ cup cocoa powder ¼ cup instant coffee powder 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup castor sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 3 eggs ¼ cup milk Method 1. Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tin. 2. Sift refined flour, baking powder and cocoa powder together into a bowl and set side. 3. Mix coffee powder and one fourth cup water in another bowl to make a decoction and set aside. 4. Put butter and sugar in a large bowl beat with an electric beater for one minute. Add vanilla essence and eggs one by one and beat till light and fluffy. 5. Add flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture and fold in well. Add coffee decoction and mix well. Check the consistency of batter and add a little milk to get the required consistency. 6. Pour the batter into the baking tin and bake in the preheated oven for thirty to thirty five minutes. 7. Remove from the oven and transfer on a wire rack to cool. 8. Use as required.
