Chicken pulao is one of the most cooked dishes at every Asian home. Everyone has their own version of it and I am sharing mine today with you guys.
This pulao is very easy to make and absolutely mouthwatering ?
Recipe:
Ingredients:
1cup oil
1tsp cumin seeds
1 medium sliced onion
2 tbsp crushed ginger garlic
1 big green chilli
1 medium chicken
1 tbsp home made garam masala( Recipe is at the end of this recipe)
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
2 chopped tomatoes
5 cups of water
Green chillies 4
4 cups washed basmati rice.
Heat up the oil and crackle the cumin seeds in it. Fry onion and green chilli until light brown, add ginger garlic and fry for 1 minutes. Add chicken and fry it until the water dries out and chicken has brown marks on it.
Add coriander powder, garam masala(homemade) and fry for 3 minutes.Add salt to taste. Add tomatoes and fry for 5 minutes. Add water and cover and cook for 10 minutes then add rice and adjust the water.
Don't cover the rice and cook on medium high heat. When the water is almost dried out then place some green chillies on top and sprinkle some garam masala on it.
Cover the rice and cook it for 10 minutes then turn the heat off and let it stay covered for another 5 minutes.
Remove the lid, mix gently and serve hot ?
HOMEMADE GARAM MASALA
Note: (everything is in equal amount)
Coriander seeds
Cumin seeds
Black cardamom
Cinnamon sticks
Bay leaves
Black pepper corns
Cloves
Fennel seeds
Red chilli flakes
Grind together and store in air tight jar.
