Chicken Chaap is a Mughal inspired recipe where the marinated chicken will be cooked slowly in a thick oily gravy. Ingredients of chicken chaap
• 700 gms chicken(large pieces)
3/4 cup curd • 2 medium onions
• 10-12 garlic cloves • 1-inch ginger
• 2 green chillies
•2 tsp poppy seed paste
• 8 cashew nuts
- dry roasted masala
.5 cloves
.1 tsp white pepper powder
.2 pieces cinnamon stick
.1 tsp shah or shahi jeera
.1/2 tsp whole black pepper
.1 mace
.1/4 of a nutmeg
.1/2 tsp kewra water •1/2drops rose essence
• 1 tbsp sattu or roasted gram flour
• 11/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder • 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 2 tbsp lemon juice
• 2 tbsp ghee
• 4 tbsp oil
• 1/2 cup lukewarm milk • 1 pinch saffron strands
• salt as per taste
