Biryani is a luxurious rice dish from India. Biryani can be made in many different ways using chicken, mutton, beef or vegetables. In the dum method, the basmati rice, chicken and other ingredients are sealed in a pan using chapati dough to stick the lid to the pan. Making biryani may seem daunting at first – there are so many ingredients, and the processes may seem a bit confusing. In this video, I hope to show you very clearly how to make a fantastic biryani. It’s not something you can throw together in half an hour – it takes quite a bit of time, but the result really does justify the effort.
