Beef Mechado- a pork or beef tomato stew. An original Filipino dish made during the spanish time. Tender cubes of beef stewed in rich tomato sauce with vegetables and herbs. The rich sauces get yummier and thicker over reheating, the taste pours out over time.
Yummy Tip: When the sauce is malagkit na from multiple heatings, remove the mechado from the pan, put cooked rice in the pan. Fry the rice while scraping off the meat and sauce stuck to the pan. Yum. Imagine that.. sarap diba?
