In Paid Partnership with @Butterfly Kitchen Appliances Ambur Biryani Recipe: Chicken (Biryani Cut) - 1.5 kg Jeeraga Samba Rice - 1 kg Dry Red Chilli (de-seeded) - 30 nos Groundnut Oil - ½ Cup Cinnamon - 3 Inches Clove - 8 nos Cardamom - 6 nos Ginger Garlic Paste - 6 tbsp Onion (thinly sliced) - 5 nos Tomato (thinly sliced) - 5 nos Rock Salt - ½ tbsp + 1 tbsp Curd - ¾ Cup Lemon Juice - 1 no. Mint Leaves (finely chopped) - ½ Cup Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) - ½ Cup Water - 1 Cup + ½ Cup Cooking Instructions: 1. Soak Rice for 30 mins and cook until 3/4 done with some salt. 2. Cook the de-seeded chillies in hot water for 5 mins and grind into a fine paste. 3. In the biryani pot, add groundnut oil. Once the oil is hot, add the cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. 4. Add the onion to the pot and saute until golden brown. 5. Add ginger-garlic Paste, cook until the raw aroma goes. 6. Add half of the chopped coriander and mint leaves. 7. Add Red chilli paste. 8. Add the balanced onion and add the tomato, cook until the tomatoes are soft. Season with rock salt. 9. Add the chicken and add the curd. 10. Add 1 cup of boiling water, enough to cook the chicken. 11. Once the chicken is almost done,about 15 mins. Add lemon Juice and the remaining mint and coriander. 12. Add the rice and add ¼ - ½ Cup of water until the rice is moist. 13. Cover and cook on a simmer for 12-15 mins. Stay connected with us!
