Puerto Rican Style Corned Beef (Simple Recipe) – [Episode 333]


The Puerto Rican style corned beef is the taste of a Puerto Rican dish, full of the Boricua flavors, and yet so American! This is a re-make video for my previous Corned Beef recipe. Simplified, still a lot of flavor. I hope you like it. Ingredients / *Ingredientes ½ cup diced salted cured cooking ham – *1/2 taza de jamón de cocinar 1 tablespoon olive oil - *1 cucharada de aceite de oliva 1 diced médium onion - *1 cebolla mediana picadita ½ cup sofrito - *1/2 taza de sofrito - Link: https://youtu.be/yGttixHvJJ4 8 ounces tomato sauce - *8 onzas de salsa de tomate 1 can of 12 ounces corned beef - *1 lata de 12 onzas de “corned beef” 8 ounces water - *8 onzas de agua 2 or 3 small cut potatoes – 2 ó 3 papas pequeñas picaditas 1.In high temperature, heat the olive oil fry the salted ham until is crispy as bacon. *En alta temperatura, caliente el aceite de oliva y fría el jamón de cocinar hasta que quede crujiente como bacón. 2.Add and sauté the onion until translucent. *Sofria la cebolla hasta que este transparente. 3. Add the “sofrito” and cook for a minute or two. Añada el sofrito y cueza por un minuto o dos. 4.Add the tomato sauce. *Añada la salsa de tomate. 5. Add the can of Corned Beef. *Añada la lata de Corned Beef. 6. Add 8 ounces of water. * Añada 8 onzas de agua. 7. Add the potatoes. *Añada las papas. 8. Cover and let it cook in low temperature or simmer for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. *Cubra y deje cocinar por 20 en temperatura bien baja por 20 minutos o hasta que las papas estén tiernas.
