Stir Fry Beef & Celery Chinese Style (Chinese Cooking Recipe)
Welcome to Chinese Cooking. My name is Xiao Wei, even at a early age I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in northern Chinese, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes.
Ingredients:
200g Sirloin Steak
100g Celery Sticks
4 Cloves Garlic
1 Spring Onion
5g Ginger
1 Tsp Ground Sichuan Pepper
1 Tsp Light Soy Sauce
1 Tsp Cooking Wine
1 Tsp White Wine Vinegar
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
3 Tbsp Cornflour
Salt to Taste
Method:
1. Finely chop the garlic and ginger.
2. Thinly slice spring onion and celery.
3. Cut the steak into thin strips.
4. Place the steak into a mixing bowl and add cornflour.
5. Toss the meat and ensure an even coverage.
6. Heat half litre of oil in the wok until smoking hot.
7. Place the celery into the hot oil and fry for few seconds.
8. Remove and drain.
9. Place the meat into the same oil, stir and deep fry for a minute.
10. Remove and drain then discard the oil.
11. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in the same wok and add the garlic, ginger, spring onion and sichuan pepper.
12. Fry for few seconds.
13. Add the meat, celery and stir for few seconds.
14. Add the cooking wine, vinegar and soy sauce, stir for few seconds.
15. Add salt, sesame oil and stir.
16. Immediately transfer onto a dish and serve with rice.
