With kick-off only 3 hours away, I needed to whip up something in a hurry. I had the Bayern Brewing Doppelbock and a bunch of chicken thighs. Sweet and smoky, these chicken thighs are packed with flavor and fork-tender.

Hardware
- 8 chicken thighs, skinless and boneless
- 1 bottle Bayern Brewing Doppelbock
- 1 cup honey
- 1 TBSP garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ⅓ cup soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Mix all the ingredients, and reserve ½ cup of the marinade for basting later
2. Refrigerate the thighs in the marinade for 2-12 hours
3. Heat the Big Green Egg or other grill to 350°F
4. Place several handfuls of the dampened hickory chips on the coals
5. Lay the thighs in the grill
6. When reaching an internal temperature of 140°F, baste each thigh with the reserve marinade
7. Remove the thighs from the grill at 150°F
8. Let them rest for 5-10 minutes
9. Enjoy!
