A beautiful, thick sirloin steak is pan-fried to your liking, then served with an easy to make mushroom sauce, made right in the same pan.
Once your steak is cooked, remove it from the pan and tent it with foil to keep it warm. By the time the juices have redistributed throughout the steak and it's ready to slice, you'll have made the gorgeous mushroom sauce to accompany it!
Shiitake mushrooms, shallot, garlic, white wine, beef stock and tarragon make this pan sauce full of flavour. Adding butter at the end gives the sauce a velvety rich texture. Pour the warm mushroom sauce over the steak, and you're in heaven.
