CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
1 carton chicken broth
2-3 stalks celery
1 medium onion
1 bag of frozen corn
1-2 whole carrots
Noodle of your choice
Seasonings: 2 TBSP: garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, pepper. 1 TBSP: lemon pepper, rosemary, thyme.
Instructions:
1.Remove the bag from inside the chicken, discard or use otherwise.
2.Place whole chicken in the crockpot
3.Roughly chop celery and onion and place inside the cavity.
4.Season the chicken with the seasonings listed above.
5.Add carton of chicken broth.
6.Cook on high for 6+ hours (use a meat thermometer to confirm it is cooked through) the meat should be falling off the bone.
7.Remove the chicken, set aside.
8.Spoon any vegetables, bones, or chicken pieces that may be left in the broth.
9.Shred the chicken (I used half of the chicken for the soup and saved the rest)
10.Add the chicken, corn, and finely chopped celery and carrot.
11.Cook on low for 2-4 hours, until vegetables are tender.
12.Cook noodles separately and add to the soup when ready to serve.
