Today I am going to make a creamy chicken pasta. This recipe only takes 20 minutes so it is great when you don't have much time.
Creamy Chicken pasta ingredients:
200ml / 6.7fl oz of pure/whipping cream
1 egg
20 g / 3/4oz Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
180g / 6-7oz Mushrooms
250g / 8-9oz Chicken breast
1 rasher of Bacon
2 cloves of Garlic
Sprig of fresh Thyme( or dried)
1 tbs of olive oil
250g / 8-9oz Pasta
First step for our Creamy Chicken Pasta is to fry the bacon in olive oil on a low to moderate heat and stirring occasionally so it goes crispy. While the bacon is frying, put on salted water for the Pasta. Then whip egg, cream, cheese and salt and pepper in a bowl and put it aside.
The second step for our creamy chicken pasta is to remove the bacon from the pan and put aside. Then add 1 garlic, 1/2 of the thyme and the chicken pieces to the same pan to fry in the bacon fat with some seasoning.
Remove the chicken, when it is white (approx. 2 minutes) and set aside. Now add the pasta to boiling water.
Third step in our creamy chicken pasta is to fry the mushromms with the remaining thyme and seasoning on moderate heat for approx. 5 minutes in the same pan or until mushroom juice has been absorbed. If mushrooms are too dry during the frying process, add a tablespoon of olive oil.
The last step in our creamy chicken pasta is to add the chicken back to the mushrooms and then stir in the strained pasta (with a little hot water still in the pasta). Turn off the heat and add cream sauce and bacon and stir in to pasta.
ENJOY!
