Singapore is full of incredible desserts that are “not too sweet” the ultimate Asian compliment! Here are 7 of my all-time faves that I keep going back for: Ah Chew Desserts @ahchewdesserts 1 Liang Seah St A Singapore institution for over 20 years, serving hot and cold treats made fresh daily. Mango Sago with Ice Cream and Mango Pomelo Sago are bursting with fresh fruit, creamy sago, and just the right sweetness. Perfect anytime. p.s. For durian enthusiasts, the Durian Mango Sago with Pomelo is a must-try!! Best time to visit: Late afternoon to avoid peak hours Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique @bopgelato 53 Craig Rd (many locations around town) My favorite ice cream EVER. Botanical-inspired flavor and unique combos like White Chrysanthemum and Strawberry Basil. Refreshing, elegant, unforgettable. Pro tip: Try their thyme-infused cones for an added herbal twist. Dopa Dopa [email protected] 29 South Bridge Rd Nut-based gelato heaven! Roasted Pistachio is earthy and fragrant, Roasted Hazelnut is buttery and slightly smoky. Rich, smooth, never too sweet. Yat Ka Yan Dessert House @yatkayan 190 Middle Rd Traditional Chinese desserts with a modern twist. Avocado Sago is creamy perfection, and Chrysanthemum Jelly Shaved Ice is floral, light, and oh-so-refreshing. Pro tip: Try their Mini Soup Set of 3 to sample a variety of desserts. Dona Manis Cake Shop @donamaniscakeshop 865 Mountbatten Rd A 30+ year-old hidden gem. Their Banana Pie sells out daily. Flaky pastry, caramelized banana, roasted coconut, and a hint of chocolate. Comforting, nostalgic, and absolutely delicious. Arrive early as their banana pies sell out quickly!! Caffe Pralet @pralet.sg 17 Eng Hoon St For donut lovers, this is a must. Their sourdough donuts ferment for three days, creating chewy, fluffy perfection. Burnt Butter Honey Glaze = sweet-salty bliss. Fairy Dust = umami, nutty flavor bomb. Yuen Yeung Dessert Café @yuenyeung.sg 43 Neil Rd Matcha heaven! Matcha Mochi Peaks = earthy matcha, warm mochi & chewy pearls. Coconut Shaved Ice = light, creamy, perfect summer treat. Bonus: 1-Arden @1arden.sg 88 Market St World’s highest garden-to-table high tea, with seasonal ingredients from a 10,000 sq ft rooftop food forest. The views? Absolutely breathtaking.
