INGREDIENTS : 500g beef boneless cut into pieces ½ cup coconut 2 tbsp oil + 2 tbsp ghee 1 green cardamom + 2 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick 2 sliced onions 1 large tomato chopped 1 green chili chopped 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste few fresh curry leaves ¼ tsp chili flakes ½ tsp turmeric powder ¼ tsp pepper powder 1 tbsp chili powder (more or less) 1 tsp coriander powder ½ fennel seed powder 1-2 tbsp lime juice Chopped coriander leaves. some salt METHOD : Cut and wash the meat. In a pressure cooker add washed meat, chili flakes, pepper powder, salt, and turmeric powder, and mix well. Close the cooker and cook 2 whistles on medium to high flame. Then lower the heat to low and cook for 5 minutes. Dry roast coconut on low flame for a few minutes and keep aside. Heat oil / ghee in a cooking pan, add green cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick, saute and then add sliced onions. saute until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes. Add spices, coriander powder, chili powder, fennel powder, garam masala, turmeric, a few fresh curry leaves, salt for the masala and mix well. Now add chopped tomato, and green chili, mix well and cover and simmer for 5 minutes on the heat. Add cooked meat and give a good mix. Add little water (4-5 tbsp) cover and simmer again for 5 minutes on low flame. Add lime juice, again a few fresh curry leaves, and roasted coconut, and give a good mix. Simmer for a minute and add chopped coriander leaves mix well and ready to serve.
