The chicken is marinated in a mixture of spices and sauces, then coated with a batter and deep-fried until crispy. The origin of chicken lollipop is unclear, but it is believed to have been invented in India or in Chinese restaurants in India. It has become a popular snack or starter dish in many Indian and Chinese restaurants around the world. The name "chicken lollipop" comes from its appearance, which resembles a lollipop. The meat is tender and juicy, while the crispy exterior gives it a satisfying texture. It is usually served with a spicy dipping sauce and is best enjoyed as a finger food or a party snack. Chicken lollipops are a popular Indian-Chinese appetizer that are fun to eat and delicious. Here's a recipe you can try: Ingredients: 8-10 chicken wings 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp red chili sauce 1 tsp vinegar 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 tbsp corn flour 2 tbsp all-purpose flour 1 egg Oil for frying Instructions: Cut the chicken wings and drumettes, separating the two parts. Discard the wing tips or save them for making chicken stock. Using a sharp knife, scrape the meat down to the bone end on the drumettes to create a lollipop shape. Push the meat down to one end of the bone, forming a ball-like shape. In a mixing bowl, combine ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, red chili sauce, vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. Add the chicken lollipops to the mixture, making sure each piece is well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight for better results. In a separate mixing bowl, combine corn flour, all-purpose flour, and beaten egg. Mix well to form a smooth batter. Dip each chicken lollipop into the batter, making sure it is well coated. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or wok over medium-high heat. Carefully add the chicken lollipops to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chicken lollipops from the oil and drain on a paper towel. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
