Gulab Jamun is a dessert, often eaten at festivals or major celebrations.There are various types of gulab jamun and every variety has a distinct taste and appearance. Learn how to make this simple and easy to make quick homemade recipe only on Swaad Anusaar
Ingredients
Gulab Jamuns
- Khoya - 250gms
- maida- 3tbsps
- baking powder- half tsp + 1tbsp milk
- 7-8 Elaichi
- Rose water
- 1tsp, lemon
- half TSP
- saffron stands.
Syrup
- 11/2 cup of Sugar
- 2 cups of water
- Elaichi powder
- rose water
- lemon
- saffron
Method
- Knead khoya well for 5 minutes so that there are no lumps.
- Add 3 tbsps of maida and knead for another 3 minutes so that the the dough is soft.
- Add 1/2 tsp baking powder with a table spoon of milk and knead again.
- Make small balls and with thumb & stuff it with elaichi powder 1 kismis and charoli.
- Make the ball round and smooth and put it in medium hot ghee to fry till it turns a dark brown colour.

- Boil water and sugar together. Once they form the required consistency add elaichi powder, rose water, lemon juice and saffron
