THE RECIPES (All recipes based on 500g / 1.1lbs chicken)
1. Dakbokkeumtang (Spicy Braised Chicken)
Veggies: Onion, carrots, and potatoes (bite-size). Minced garlic. Green onion & chili for garnish.
The Sauce:
Sugar: 2 tbsp | Mirin: 4 tbsp
Gochugaru: 2.5 tbsp | Oyster Sauce: 2 tbsp
Gochujang: 2 BIG tbsp
2. Jjimdak (Soy Braised Chicken)
Prep: Soak Dangmyeon (sweet potato noodles) & dried Shiitake in cold water (45 mins).
Veggies: Onion, carrots, and potatoes (bite-size). Minced garlic. Green onion & chili for garnish.
The Sauce:
Sugar: 2 tbsp | Corn Syrup: 3 tbsp
Soy Sauce: 6 tbsp | Minced Garlic: 1 tbsp
Black Bean Paste (or Oyster Sauce): 1 tbsp
3. Dakgalbi (Spicy Stir-Fried Chicken)
Veggies: Onion, cabbage, and sweet potato (bite-size). Minced garlic. Green onion & chili for garnish.
The Sauce:
Sugar: 2 tbsp | Corn Syrup: 2 tbsp | Soy Sauce: 3 tbsp
Gochugaru: 4 tbsp | Gochujang: 2 BIG tbsp
Minced Garlic: 1 tbsp | Grated Ginger: 1 tsp
Apple Juice: 2 tbsp | Soju: 30ml (optional)
Finish with: Black Pepper, Toasted Sesame (1 tbsp), & MSG (optional)
